Marking pattern

+ 3 for each correct answer
- 1 for each incorrect answer

The negative marking pattern of CAT makes this exam a bit more difficult to crack. This is an exam where total number of attempts is of less importance. More priority is given to correct attempts rather than total attempts. Speed and Accuracy can help student to get more percentile score. The percentile ranking system depicts that one who gets the highest mark out of 300 will get 100 Percentile and one who gets minimum mark out of 300 will get 1 Percentile. So in CAT exam, one’s individual performance is not important, but relative performance is more important.
